The Country School Farm Camp

The Country School Farm Camp

The Country School Farm Camp, or TCS Summer Camp has kicked off!  TCS is a residential farm camp experience in Ohio’s Amish settlement.

This is from their site:

The farm is for children who love animals and who, themselves, choose to attend. The experience is not for the socially troubled. Most children enroll in one session each summer and this is quite adequate for a meaningful experience. Some, however, want more and this can work if there are at least two weeks of rest at home between attended sessions. Each week enrolls thirty-six children.

At exactly 8:43am, we were the first in line today to drop off our daughter to be one of 35 campers that the Barkers will have for this week.

They do such an amazing job! Penny and Richard are so soft spoken and kind and simple.  They are exactly what children need!

Our daughter just absolutely loves that camp!  I can see how she’ll want to keep coming year after year after year.  She’ll never grow tired of that camp!  I think the year she figures she’s too old for it, will make her very sad.  For now though, she has A LOT of years ahead of her to enjoy and look forward to keep coming to the camp!

I love the fact that she loves it so much that I’ve just finished creating a facebook group for it.  They don’t allow pens on the camp.  They have a very specific list that they’d like for you to bring and they don’t share your information with other parents EVEN if your child begs to keep in touch with certain others.  So I decided to have it go social and create a facebook page for it!

I will post more pictures later!  Until then, meet you down at the farm!
